Survive! A Tiger Adventure

Glossary Term: Cows
Indian Cow India has more cows than any other country in the world, reflecting the cow's revered status in Hinduism. Hindus keep cows for religious and draft purposes, not for meat. Cows also provide milk, which Indians use for butter, cheese, yogurt, and many desserts. Some Hindus think of cows as a symbol of the earth—it gives of itself, yet asks nothing in return.
