Tiger Parts: Eyeballs

Ancient Chinese medical texts recommended tiger eyeballs as a treatment for many health problems, including: epilepsy, malaria, nervousness or fevers in children, convulsions, and cataracts. Tiger eyes were also recommended as a way to improve vision.

Although modern Chinese medicine does not recommend tiger eyes, many Chinese still believe in their medicinal value. These beliefs are deeply embedded in Chinese culture and cannot be changed quickly or easily.
