I was dismayed to learn that you are breeding your new Sumatran tiger with an unregistered tiger at a local roadside zoo. You are violating the Memorandum of Participation which you signed, in which you agreed to work in the best interests of the species, not in the best interests of your zoo. Because the mother's pedigree is unknown, we also know nothing about how rare or valuable her genes might be. Therefore, the cubs born from this breeding will have no conservation value whatsoever. By occupying valuable zoo space, they will damage our conservation efforts and waste your tiger's valuable genes. As a result, we are forced to expel you from the Tiger SSP. We are also recommending that your membership in the AZA be put on probation.
