Morning sessions: 9:30–Noon

Turtlenecks and Monkey Suits
All a.m. sessions
Fur, feathers, scales or skin, find out what’s “in”—in the animal kingdom, and meet live animals featuring these latest fashions! Whether it’s slimy or scaly, smooth or rough, an animal’s skin
is its super survival suit.

Barnyard Buddies

Explore our farm exhibit with a different barnyard buddy each day! Puppet characters introduce children to cows, chickens, rabbits, sheep, goats, pigs, and horses. Discover how we take
care of the animals through hands–on activities and demonstrations.

Wild Water Creatures (previously Fins, Flukes and Flippers)

Come explore the ocean creatures that live at the Minnesota Zoo. Campers will discover that undersea survival depends on an animal’s parts, like fins, scales and scutes.

Animals are musical, too! Explore wild animal sounds and movement with our voices, bodies, and on instruments such as the xylophone, snare drum, Irish harp and many more.
Note: There is a $10 partnership fee. No membership discounts apply for this camp.

Moose Do Not Eat Muffins
All p.m. sessions
…and pigs do not eat pancakes, and mice do not eat cookies, contrary to the popular book series by Laura Numeroff. We’ll compare these fictional friends to their domestic and wild relatives to
find out what they really eat as part of a healthy and nutritious diet.

Rain Forest Explorers
All p.m. sessions
Trek through the tropics as a rain forest explorer and encounter
many unique
tropical animals. We’ll see brightly colored butterflies through handmade binoculars and hear noisy monkeys and singing birds throughout our safari.

Where the Wild Things Live

Meet a different animal friend each day and discover where the wild things live! Explore the tropical habitat of a snake, underwater world of a shark, and where a raccoon may roam to find home sweet home!
