EdVenture Programs!

Wild Wolf EdVenture

Dates: February 2014 (Dates TBD)
Times: Starting at 8:30 a.m. on Friday and
returning around 6 p.m. on Sunday

Join the Minnesota Zoo and the International Wolf Center for this once-in-a-lifetime wolf experience. Start the journey at the Minnesota Zoo with a Wolf Zookeeper visiting the Zoo’s pair of Great Plains Grey Wolves and learning about our past work with endangered Mexican Gray Wolves.

Continue this three-day, two-night adventure in Ely, MN where we will be participating in the following activities:

Tracking radio-collared wolves from an airplane (weather permitting)
Dogsledding experience
Snowshoeing to an abandoned wolf den
Howling to the local wild wolf packs
Touring the inspiring exhibits at the International Wolf Center and learn about wolf biology and conservation from wolf experts
You may also have time to enjoy the wooded trails, the library, and indoor sauna at the Silver Rapids Lodge's eight-bedroom Retreat Cabin.

Fee: $550* per person (Minnesota Zoo and International Wolf Center members receive a $25 discount)

Includes: All transportation, lodging, programs and meals

Ages: 12+ (minors must be accompanied by a paid adult); programs will be geared toward adults.

Cancellation and Refund Policy
If you need to cancel your registration for this program, notify the Education Department at 952.431.9320 no later than January 4 for a refund of 75% of the program fee. No refunds will be made after January 4 unless the program is cancelled by the program coordinator. If you cannot attend the program, you may find your own replacement, but please notify Education Department if you have any changes.
