Family Zoo Adventures

These classes are especially designed for young people
(ages 4–8) and their favorite adults. Our activities, excursions, crafts and games will make learning fun for young and old alike. The whole Zoo is our classroom and visits to "behind-the-scenes" areas with zookeepers and trainers will make each class special.

Ages: 4-8 and their favorite adult(s)

Time: 1:00-3:00 p.m. (unless noted differently below)

Fees:
Zoo Members: $18.50 per participant
(minimum of 1 adult, 1 child = $37)
Non-Members: $25 per participant
(minimum of 1 adult, 1 child = $50)

Step into Africa right here in Minnesota and learn some fun and fascinating facts about these sentinels of the savannas. You'll also have an opportunity to feed a giraffe a special treat.

Penguins don’t fly but their popularity is soaring. Find out all about these black and white birds by diving into some fun activities and exploration. You’ll learn all about the unique Penguins of the African Coast and how they differ from Antarctic penguins. We promise you’ll have a swimmingly good time!

Gallop on in to learn some fun facts about horses. We will learn about different breeds of horses, meet our horses, Prince and Duke and watch keepers harness the team. We will end our adventure by brushing the horses.
