Tax benefits of attending Zoo Education programs

These classes are especially designed for young people (ages four–eight) and their favorite adults. Our activities, excursions, crafts and games will make learning fun for young and old alike.  The whole Zoo is our classroom and visits to "behind-the-scenes" areas with zookeepers and trainers will make each class special.

All Family Zoo Adventure classes take place at the Zoo from 1-3 p.m. The exception to this is Fall on the Farm which is from 6-8:30 p.m. Call 952.431.9320 if you have any questions.

Fees:
Zoo Members: $17.50 per participant
(minimum of 1 adult, 1 child = $35)
Non-Members: $24 per participant
(minimum of 1 adult, 1 child = $48)

Barrel of Monkeys Barrel of Monkeys October 3 Meet the family of monkeys that call the Minnesota Zoo home including our new Colobus and Debrazza's monkeys. Learn about their behavior, adaptations, communication and what makes them unique from other animals.	October 3
Fall on the Farm Fall on the Farm October 9 Celebrate fall on the farm with a wagon ride, making homemade applesauce and a bonfire. Please note 6-8:30 p.m. time.	October 9 (6-8:30 p.m.)
Train Time Train Time October 24 Enjoy a monorail ride while learning about the animals of the Northern Trail. The Monorail staff will give you a behind-the-scenes tour of the monorail maintenance barn and explain how the train works.	October 24
Sensational Sea Turtles Sensational Sea Turtles November 6 or 7 Explore the many wonders of sea turtles while learning how these gentle creatures are similar to land turtles. Go behind-the-scenes to watch an aquarist give our two resident sea turtles their afternoon snack.	November 6 or 7
Snakes and Dragons Snakes and Dragons November 21 Explore the unique world of remarkable reptiles as we learn more about the Komodo dragon. Enjoy our friendly animal visitors that make this class really fun!	November 21
Holiday Animals Holiday Animals December 11 or 12 Learn about animals that have close ties to Christmas traditions- especially reindeer. We will take a monorail ride to find the Yeti, decorate cookies and make a craft. (This class is designed especially for children ages 3-6.)	December 11 or 12
