ANIMAL EXPLORERS OVERNIGHT for 2010-2011

Come explore the Zoo after hours!! Zoo naturalists lead your class through a fun filled and educational evening of exploring “behind-the-scenes” and discussing various animal topics. This program includes dinner, an evening snack, breakfast, and a commemorative T-shirt for all participants.

Oceans: (offered October-June for up to 60 participants)
Dream with the dolphins! Snore with the Sharks! Zoo naturalists lead your class through a fun filled and educational evening exploring our two favorite topics - sharks and dolphins! Participants will investigate these top ocean predators through hands-on activities and enjoy two behind-the-scenes tours of the main zoo kitchen and the Shark Reef keeper area. Overnights also include an evening pizza dinner, breakfast and a commemorative T-shirt for all participants.

Bears: (offered May for up to 35 participants)
Hibernate with the Bears! Meet the predators of the award-winning Russia's Grizzly Coast exhibit and explore the bear world from what they eat to how they prepare for that long winter's nap. We may even sleep in the exhibit's lava tubes! Every overnight includes fun, interactive games, and a memorable behind-the-scenes tour of the bear kitchen and holding areas. Overnights also include an evening pizza dinner, breakfast and a commemorative T-shirt for all participants.

Fee: $47 per participant

Times: 4:30 p.m. – 8:00 a.m. the next day
