The Rocks of Russia’s Grizzly Coast
Coastal basalt formation—intended to reflect basalt rock from Pacific rim volcanoes. Used in the entrance and the sea otter exhibit.
Eroded sandstone—found in the sea cave and around the sea otter exhibit.
Various rock formations found in the grizzly bear exhibit. They reflect a variety of textures—highly fractured, shear and undercut faces, as well as eroded rubble.
Also in the grizzly bear exhibit are natural-looking boulders of various sizes as well as standing and fallen dead trees.
