Apple Valley, MINN – June 13, 2013: – The butterflies of North America have fluttered back to the Minnesota Zoo and are better than ever! The Zoo welcomes more than 40 different species of butterflies and moths beginning Saturday, June 15 at the Aveda Butterfly Garden, located at the end of the Tropics Trail.

Hundreds of butterflies and moths will enjoy living in a beautiful environment that includes a small stream and a diversity of plants. The Aveda Butterfly Garden will be open daily through September 2 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. (weather permitting). Entry is free with purchase of general Zoo admission.

The Garden is made possible with support from the Clean Water, Land & Legacy Amendment.
