Minnesota Zoo to Host World Language Days in February

Apple Valley, MN – February 2, 2012 – Every year the Minnesota Zoo hosts schools a variety of World Language Days. Schools from around the state bring their students to the Zoo to discover fascinating facts about the animals in the language of that day.

Upper level language students use music, costumes and props to interpret the animal exhibits. Other students receive a “passport” to tour the student stations throughout the Zoo, collecting stamps. The goal is to fill your “passport” by listening to the thirty presenters stationed throughout the Zoo and then receiving a stamp.

World Language Days Dates:

• Chinese Day: Thursday, February 2
• French Day: Tuesday, February 7
• German Day: Wednesday, February 8
• Spanish Days: Wednesday and Thursday, February 15 – 16
