It’s a Summer of Adventure, Exploration and Fun at the Minnesota Zoo
The Minnesota Zoo hosts a wide range of summer activities for the entire family
Apple Valley, MINN – June 10, 2013: The Minnesota Zoo is known for its amazing animals, but there’s a whole lot more to experience this summer as the Zoo continues its 35 year celebration!
Africa! and Dinosaurs!: Two Adventures. One Place.

Africa! and Dinosaurs! are back by popular demand this summer. Africa! is an extraordinary, multi-animal exhibit featuring giraffes, ostrich, bongos, wildebeest, addax, and guineafowl that will have guests feeling as though they’ve traveled across the world to the African savanna. In addition to seeing these wonderful animals interact, giraffe feedings are offered from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. daily (weather and giraffe appetite dependent). Dinosaurs! features 20 larger-than-life animatronic dinosaurs including the Tyrannosaurus Rex, Stegosaurus, and Brachiosaurus. In addition, there are unique horticultural components and a Tyrannosaurus Rex robot, providing a look at the internal working of the structure for a one-of-a-kind experience. This limited engagement is a separate fee attraction of $4.00 ($3.50 for Zoo members) and general Zoo admission is required. Both exhibits are sponsored by Think Mutual Bank.
