Minnesota Zoo names 2012 “Zookeeper of the Year"
Apple Valley, MINN – March 7, 2013 – Ben Sutton, an 8-year veteran of the Minnesota Zoo, has been named its 2012 “Zookeeper of the Year.”
Says Sutton: “I’m honored to have received this award. I've learned many things working at the Zoo, and working with these amazing animals as well as a great team of people every day is a dream come true for me.”
Adds Minnesota Zoo Director of Biological Programs Kevin Willis: “He distinguishes himself by consistently going above and beyond to take exceptional care of the Minnesota Zoo’s Northern Trail carnivores. This award is a real achievement, as it is recognition from his peers on the high quality of his work. We are very pleased that he is part of our team.”
Before coming to the Minnesota Zoo, Sutton worked at a humane society in Colorado for three years.
